2017 Stepping Out For Self-Esteem: 1k Women & Girl Walk/Rally

Join W.I.T. (Walk In iT Inc), Women and girls for a 1 mile walk and Rally. as we PINK OUT The City! On September 30, 2017 @ 9:00 AM. Mothers, daughters, aunts, nieces, sisters, sororities, girls clubs, women’s groups, girl scouts, sports teams, and more will gather to bring an awareness of the importance of high and healthy SELF ESTEEM.

This year’s highlight will be a STEP SHOW Competition, Jump Rope Competition & SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER Ashley Smithfrom Channel 13 News. Girls and lady’s step teams will merge at the Kings Fork Middle School and put their foot down. Most of all there will be over 1000 ladies and young girls taking over the streets of Suffolk, VA to promote the power of positive self-esteem.

These activities will only be $25/per walker and serve as a charity event to raise both awareness of and funding to benefit the Ladies of Distinction program of Walk In iT Incorporated. This program provides empowerment through exposure for 18 schools and over 500 young high school and middle school girls through monthly meetings,field trips, scholarships, conferences, spring break beach retreats, and more.

ABOUT US

Currently serving over 500 girls in 17 schools per month, Ladies Of Distinction (LOD) is the most sought after program of WIT Inc. that helps young ladies discover and operate in their full potential with consistent meetings and open and honest dialogue. The engage in peer to peer conversation along with Lady Jennell and WIT sponsors motivating them to develop and maintain high self-esteem, healthy relationships, set high goals, and much more. This group also takes various exposure trips including an annual beach empowerment retreat which is always a highlight of the year.

Walk In iT Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women. Whether in the classroom, an after school club, a conference/retreat, or personal mentorship W.I.T is positively impacting the educational and social lives of its participants.

Through a combination of practical life skills and empowering life improvement strategies, W.I.T is making a difference one step at a time. The organization is open to and supported by girls and women of all ages and races.

Ladies of Distinction

Ladies of Distinction

WIT Inc is privileged to have LOD (Ladies of Distinction) in 17 public schools reaching over 500 young girls per month. LOD uses the time after school for 1-on-1 mentoring, group self-esteem activities, and exposure trips with girls in 4-12 grade. LOD is the SIGNATURE PROGRAM for WIT Inc and can be added to your school, community center, or neighborhood. There are 3 LOD annual conferences including a Feb Relationship Conference, April - Girls Empowerment Conference and a Sept- Self Esteem Walk/Rally.

R.E.D. for Parents

R.E.D. for Parents

R.E.D. (Raising Excellent Daughters) is a parent support component of WIT that connects daughters and moms through sessions, meals, and exposure trips. It is primarily comprised of the mothers of current L.O.D. members, however, there are events and setting where parents from other communities join as well. Loaded with annual R.E.D. gatherings and quarterly parent sessions open to the public.

WIT Women

WIT Women hosts an annual women's conference in various locations. It is a must attend and life transforming weekend. Mark your calendars for March 2018 for a weekend of refueling, empowerment, refreshing, and fellowship. The 2018 Women’s Conference will be a two-day experience and will feature a COMEDY party on Friday evening, early morning prayer, empowerment sessions, and much more.
